Our parents exchanged the 'thamboolams' or platters filled with betel leaves, betel nuts, fruits, flowers, 'kumkum' (vermilion) and 'pasupu' (turmeric) along with the 'lagna patrika'.However the time and date was not decided. So it was decided to write the lagna patrika at the residence of the bride at a later date.
